Latest Highlights April 2026
In April 2026, the overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) has increased by 0.1 per cent year-on-year, from 106.1 in April 2025 to 106.2. This was contributed by an increase of 0.8 per cent in the Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages index, while the Non-Food index registered a decrease of 0.1 per cent. Meanwhile, the Goods index increased by 0.6 per cent, while the Services index decreased by 0.6 per cent.
Compared to March 2026, the CPI has increased by 0.5 per cent on a month-on-month basis, contributed by an increase of 0.7 per cent in the Non-Food index. Meanwhile, the Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages index decreased by 0.1 per cent.
Periodically, the CPI for January to April 2026 recorded a decrease of 0.1 per cent compared to the same period in 2025.
