The Price Comparison is an initiative by the DCCA to promote smart spending by encouraging consumers to compare prices before making a purchase.

Under the Price Comparison system, retailers are provided an online platform to put up prices of daily groceries and necessities sold in Brunei Darussalam. The items are based on the spending pattern in the Brunei Darussalam Household Expenditure Survey. These include items such as butter and margarine, canned preserved food, fresh chicken and eggs, condensed milk, evaporated milk, beverages, noodles, flour, onions, formulated powdered milk, cooking oil, sauces, infant diapers, detergents and others.

Participating outlets voluntarily submit the list of prices of goods for the following month.
