| Introduction and Background
The indicator for employment by occupation comprises statistics on jobs classified according to major groups in Brunei Darussalam Standard Occupational Classification (BDSOC) 2011 which is compatible with ISCO-08.
A job is defined as a set of tasks and duties performed, or meant to be performed, by one person, including for an employer or in self-employment. An occupations defined as a set of jobs whose main tasks and duties are characterised by a high degree of similarity.
