In strengthening efforts towards realising Wawasan Brunei 2035, the Twelfth National Development Plan (RKN12) will focus on increased sustainable economic growth, improvement of people’s well-being, and a resilient socioeconomic development. Henceforth, the theme for RKN12 is:

In supporting the RKN12 theme, six Thrusts have been outlined to provide direction towards the preparation of RKN12 programmes and projects:

• Improving quality education through strengthening infrastructure accessibility and a systematic educational system
• Generating a workforce aligned with industry needs
• Contributing towards sustainable environment in addressing climate change
• Strengthening national security and sustainable welfare of the people
• Increasing the contribution of the non-oil and gas sector to the economy
• Strengthening the government’s management for an efficient and conducive governance

Towards realising this vision, an integrated national approach is important for the implementation of 305 projects to succeed with a total of BND4.0 billion allocated within a period of five years for RKN12.
