Department of Consumer Affairs

The Department of Consumer Affairs is responsible for administering, implementing, and enforcing the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act and the Price Control Act towards a fair and informed marketplace for businesses and consumers.

Through its key functions of active inspections, price monitoring, consumer advocacy and a consumer redress mechanism, the Department empowers consumers and deters unethical business practices.
