Price Control

The Department of Consumer Affairs is responsible for the implementation and enforcement of the Price Control Act, Chapter 142 and its regulations, and the Seasonal Maximum Price Setting initiative. Regular inspections are conducted on business premises, including supermarkets and grocery stores, in all four districts throughout the country. In addition, inspections are carried out on a random basis and in response to consumers’ reports.
